Bring the kiddos to the Haffeman Pavilion select Wednesday mornings for our Kidz Concerts in the Commons series! These performances are geared especially for your little ones and will have them movin' & groovin' while also providing a fun learning environment. Bring a lawn chair, blanket, snacks, and your friends! Concessions are also available for purchase at the Wave Cafe inside the Community Center.

(for the safety of the animals - no dogs at this show)

This program is ideal for groups or interactive family events. We explore the different raptors found in Minnesota and their role in the environment. Participants learn the three key features of all raptors and learn why they are different from other birds. We discuss the positive and negative impact humans have on our environment, and participants are inspired by some of our greatest environmental success stories, such as the peregrine falcon and the bald eagle. Finally, we learn about The Raptor Center and its important role in protecting raptors and the world we share.

Free event featuring 45+ food truck fares!

The Anoka Food Truck Festival will invade downtown Anoka on Saturday, July 20th.

You’ll be able to sample food truck delicacies all day long, with hours from 12 p.m. – 10 p.m.

More than 45 food trucks will be selling their unique street eats with global cuisines ranging from Indian to British to Japanese to locally grown pork. Food trucks will line up on Jackson Street between 1st and 3rd Avenues (right near city hall).

In addition to the de-lish food trucks, the festival will include other unique experiences on 4 wheels: fashion/clothing trucks, vintage record truck, shoe shines & beard trims in a classic airstream, photo booth truck and something just for our four legged attendants from Pet Wants!

Other activities include life-size Jenga, mechanical bull, bean bag toss, henna tattoo artists and a psychic tarot reader.

Live music will add to the atmosphere and you'll be able to enjoy handcrafted beers by Elysian Brewing, Kona Brewing Company & Goose Island. Other beverage options will also be available. The event is free. Each water sold will benefit Feed My Starving Children by providing meals to someone in need. Last year over 33K meals were raised!

Dogs are welcome at our Concert series on the condition they are leashed and waste is to be picked up.

Be prepared to turn the volume on your air guitar up to at least 12!

The complete four piece Tadpole Parade Band is ready to rock.

Will's concerts make it easy for kids to participate in every song the first time they hear it. Of course kids enjoy the guitar, mandolin, harmonica, and drums, but by far the most fun is when the kids pick up their inflatable air guitars and jam!

Turtleman is Minnesota's oldest and first triathlon. Set in gorgeous Turle Lake park, this race offers one of the most beautiful metro settings for a triathlon. Self seeded time trial start for the swim allows every athlete, experienced or novice to have a great swim without being kicked or struck in the face. The flat bike course is great for both first timers and experienced athletes alike. Finish with a shaded run. Barbecue follows the race where we give away some really great gear! All around great party from start to finish!
