Twin Cities Gateway announces Marketing Director
Twin Cities Gateway, a regional convention & visitors bureau in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area, is please to announce that Lisa Peterson has been named Marketing Director. Peterson began work in her new position on May 3.
Peterson was previously the President and CEO of the Northfield Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism, overseeing the organization’s marketing, communications, events, tourism, and administration. Prior to her work at the Chamber, she owned a small freelance marketing company and was the Marketing Specialist at Northfield Lines, Inc. for over 7 years.
Al Stauffacher, the organization’s Executive Director said, “We’re pleased to have Lisa Peterson joining the Twin Cities Gateway team. Lisa’s high expertise in marketing and creative ideas will be a big plus to the Twin Cities Gateway as we look to the future. Lisa has done imaginative and award winning campaigns prior to joining our organization and we look forward to more of same going forward.
Lisa is a graduate of Augsburg College (now Augsburg University) in Minneapolis, MN with a degree in Marketing. She has two daughters, Emma (22) and Grace (20) and a rambunctious golden retriever named Odin.
The mission of Twin Cities Gateway is to market and promote the destination area to generate increased visitation and tourism-related economic impacts for its member cities of Anoka, Arden Hills, Blaine, Coon Rapids, Fridley, Ham Lake, Lino Lakes, Mounds View, New Brighton, and Shoreview in the north metro area of Minneapolis-Saint Paul. The nonprofit organization is funded by the local option lodging tax collected by 25 lodging properties throughout the member cities.
