Waiting for Mrs. Claws

In the small town of Stables, Minnesota, on a blizzard-like Christmas Eve, long time veterinarian Dr. Johnson and receptionist Wanda Heimrick, at the “People and Paws Health Clinic,” (YES! One side of the clinic administers people-care and the other side cares for animals!) are giddy with holiday cheer to leave early and make merry. Those plans are soon foiled when a curious stranger arrives in need of help for his sick cat. By late afternoon, a string of quirky characters, including the town’s “cat lady” and Wanda’s “forgetful” mother, all arrive in need of something. Soon, everyone is entranced by the stranger who regales stories of his amazing cat, Mrs. Claws. Who knew how much could be gained from the example of a cat?
