Community Tree Lighting Festival

Celebrate the holiday season with the first-ever tree-lighting event in the City of Coon Rapids. Come for the holiday music and treats, and stay for the holiday lights at this fun, family-friendly event at Boulevard Plaza on Saturday, Dec. 11 from 4-6:30 p.m.

NO event entry or parking is allowed at the Coon Rapids Ice Center. Parking for the event is located at 111th Avenue and Coon Rapids Boulevard. Signs will be posted.

Please consider bringing a food donation to benefit the Coon Rapids High School Food Shelf.
Cash or check donations are also accepted. Make checks payable to CRHS – Cardinal Compassion Fund.

Schedule:
4 p.m. – Bonfires, holiday music
4:30 p.m. – Santa arrives! Take photos!
5:30 p.m. – Sing-a-long around the tree
5:55 p.m. – Welcome from Mayor Jerry Koch
5:59 p.m. – C-O-U-N-T-D-O-W-N for the tree lighting
6:00 p.m. – Tree lighting
6:30 p.m. – Event ends

After the tree lighting, see a Blue Ox hockey game at the Coon Rapids Ice Center! Game starts at 7 p.m. Please consider bringing a toy donation as part of the team’s toy drive.
