Twin Cities Gateway Events

The Twin Cities Gateway offers a full schedule of events year ‘round. From our nine communities’ signature events (listed at left) to sporting events and large expositions at the National Sports Center in Blaine and live theater at the Lyric Arts Center in Anoka, our calendar of events is loaded with fun events for the whole family.

Anoka End of Summer Bash

August 21st, 2019 | Riverfront Memorial Park

We know it's no fun thinking that summer comes to an end, but we are excited about Anoka's first End...

We know it's no fun thinking that summer comes to an end, but we are excited about Anoka's first End of Summer Bash! Wednesday, August 21, 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. at Riverfront Memorial Park in downtown Anoka - 2201 2nd Avenue, along the Rum River!

The Plott Hounds will kick it off with a 2-hour concert while we enjoy a free Ice Cream Social! Plus, purchase food from a couple food trucks, concessions (cash only), picnicking, yard games, a giant pumpkin inflatable bounce house, face painting, and we will debut our first Movie in the Park at 8:30 p.m. (Disney Pixar UP).

Bring a lawn chair or blanket, sit back, relax and enjoy the music, food, and movie!

Pursuit Games Race

August 24th, 2019 | National Sports Center

All participants will receive:

-Pursuit Games t-shirt (after finishing)

-Option to support local booster clubs (25% of proceeds!)

-Bragging rights

-A fun filled family experience

The Pursuit Games will offer 15 different heats. Each heat will have 10 separate waves of 30-50 people starting the race. When selecting your heat please select the foundation you are choosing to race for. Medical release waivers will be filled out at the day of the race. Please wear good running shoes, and running attire. Make sure to get an adequate amount of hydration before and during the race.
