Honky-Tonk Jump plays tribute to Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys and other great Lone Star State swing bands. Whether you call it Western swing, Hillbilly Jazz, or Gulf Coast Boogie, this music just swings. Honky-Tonk Jump keeps the boots tappin’ with Wills classics like San Antonio Rose, Benny Goodman take-offs like Mission to Moscow and throws in a little Hank Williams to keep the beer flowing. It’s blues, jazz and swing topped with a ten-gallon Stetson!

Honky-Tonk Jump members include Prairie Home Companion veterans Dan Newton (Daddy Squeeze), Richard Kriehn, and Joe Savage along with the local talents of Dan Lowinger, Tom Schaefer, Dehl Gallagher and Vaughn Asselstine. Their music features signature twin and triple leads on fiddle, accordion, pedal steel and guitar with soulful vocals, all backed by a hard-swingin’ rhythm section. This band has fun and it’s contagious!
