Recent recipient of the “Legend of Jazz” award, Maurice Jacox has been a vibrant part of the Twin Cities music scene for over 50 years. In addition to his jazz credentials, he also has won numerous blues and R&B awards as well as City Pages “Best Male Vocalist.”

He recorded and toured nationally with “Straighten Up and Fly Right – An Unforgettable Tribute to Nat King Cole. Maurice has sang with the 300-piece National Symphony in Havana Cuba and has been a guest artist 3 times with The New Standards Holiday Show. His 2019 recording “Maurice Jacox – Stripped Down” made yet another statement.
Maurice has sang lead vocals and played sax and flute with Willie and the Bumblebees, The Butane Soul Review, Soul Tight Committee and now, Maurice Jacox and We Still R (a band he was asked to take over after the passing of Wee Willie Walker with whom he shared many stages.)
Backed by members of this band the December 9th show will be an eclectic mix of all these years of experience. To quote Jon Bream of the Star Tribune, “Mr. Everything”.
