Coon Rapids Ice Fantasy Show – “Skating through Candyland”
27th annual celebration features fantastic skating talent, World Competitors Kim Navarro and Brent Bommentre and U.S. National competitor Jonathan Yang
Enjoy an evening of fantastic entertainment at the Coon Rapids Ice Center as skaters perform “Skating through Candyland” at four different performances coming up later this month. The Ice Fantasy show is a tradition at the Coon Rapids Ice Center, featuring skaters from Coon Rapids and several surrounding communities. The program features a variety of skating performances set to music, as well as the popular Father-Daughter performance. Skaters range in age from four to adult.
Four community performances will take place on:
- Thursday, April 21 6:30 p.m.
- Friday, April 22 6:30 p.m.
- Saturday, April 23 2 p.m.
- Sunday, April 24 2 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased at the door on the day of the performances. Ticket prices are: $8.00 for adults, $6.00 for students and seniors (age 65+). Children ages four and under are free.
Special Guest Skaters
Jonathan Yang, local skater from Woodbury, MN, Skating Thursday and Sunday
Jonathan Yang recently competed at U.S. Figure Skating Championships in St. Paul where he placed 5th in the Intermediate men’s event.
Kim Navarro and Brent Bommentre, Skating Friday and Saturday
Navarro and Bommentre are National and International medalists. They have performed for several years in the Stars on Ice show, and were part of Aerial Ice, which performed on the TV show, America’s Got Talent. Navarro and Bommentre also appeared on the television show, Glee. These world competitors look forward to performing at the Coon Rapids Ice Center on Friday and Saturday.
