Minnesota NHL Alumni Hockey Game vs Coon Rapids Guns and Hoses

Third annual game features former North Stars and Wild players

Mark your calendars! Your favorite former North Stars and Minnesota Wild hockey players will take the ice on Saturday, February 6th as they compete against Guns and Hoses, a Coon Rapids hockey team, made up of police officers and firefighters. Professional and former professionals include; Neal Broten, Brian Bellows, Brad Maxwell, Brad Bombardir, Don Beaupre, Andrew Brunette, Jack Carlson, Craig Hartsburg, Darby Hendrickson, Reed Larson, Gordie Roberts, Wes Walz, Tom Younghans, Tom Reid and Lou Nanne. Several of these players are expected to take the ice against the Guns and Hoses team on February 6th. This game will take place just two weeks before the Minnesota Wild take on the Chicago Blackhawks in an outdoor game at TCF Bank Stadium on February 20th.

When: Saturday, February 6, 2106
Where: Coon Rapids Ice Center, 11000 Crooked Lake Boulevard
Time: 5:20 p.m.
Cost: $10.00/person, $6.00 if wearing a Snowflake Days button (available at local businesses)

Following the game, an NHL meet and greet and reception will take place at Boulevard Bar and Grill, 3395 Coon Rapids Boulevard NW. Players will be signing autographs and auctioning off their game jerseys. Proceeds from the game and auction will benefit Heart Safe Coon Rapids, a program that has trained and educated thousands of people in Coon Rapids and Anoka County about sudden cardiac arrest and AED use.

The North Starts Alumni Hockey Game is part of the larger celebration of Coon Rapids Snowflake Days, an annual winter event that features medallion hunts, Children’s Carnival, Family Fun Day at the Coon Rapids Ice Center and more fun activities from January 28th – February 14th.
