FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FRIDLEY, MN — January 30, 2026 — Twin Cities Gateway, the regional convention and visitors bureau representing 11 vibrant communities north of the Twin Cities, is proud to announce its selection as a finalist for the 2026 Explore Minnesota Tourism Award for “Outstanding Marketing Campaign.”
This recognition places the Twin Cities Gateway in the spotlight alongside industry giants Meet Minneapolis and Experience Rochester. The award honors campaigns that demonstrate exceptional creativity, innovation, and effectiveness in promoting Minnesota destinations.
“To be named a finalist alongside such major players is a significant honor and a testament to the collaborative spirit of our 11 member cities,” said Al Stauffacher, President/CEO of Twin Cities Gateway. “Our marketing efforts are designed to showcase the unique personality of each community while providing a unified, premier experience for visitors. This nomination validates that our regional approach is resonating on a statewide level.”
The nominated campaign highlighted the diverse year-round offerings of the Gateway region—from the scenic trails of the Coon Creek Regional Park and the historic charm of Anoka to the world-class facilities at the National Sports Center in Blaine. The initiative also featured the launch of the organization’s first official Visitor’s Guide, a project aimed at simplifying travel planning for families and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
The 11 member communities represented by the Gateway include: Anoka, Arden Hills, Blaine, Coon Rapids, Fridley, Ham Lake, Lino Lakes, Mounds View, New Brighton, Ramsey, and Shoreview.
The winners will be announced during the annual Explore Minnesota Tourism Conference on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC).
