City of Arden Hills Joins Twin Cities Gateway Visitors Bureau

ARDEN HILLS, Minn., Jan. 3, 2022 – Twin Cities Gateway, a regional convention and visitors bureau in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area, has announced the City of Arden Hills will be joining as a member city, effective Jan. 1, 2022. Arden Hills joins Twin Cities Gateway’s nine other member cities: Anoka, Blaine, Coon Rapids, Fridley, Ham Lake, Lino Lakes, Mounds View, New Brighton, and Shoreview.

“Twin Cities Gateway is thrilled to welcome Arden Hills as its newest member city,” said Twin Cities Gateway Board President Pete Turok. “We look forward to the exciting opportunities for growth with not only adding two new hotels to the mix, but also two colleges with outstanding sports facilities and meeting spaces, plus many excellent restaurants to draw more visitors to the Twin Cities Gateway area.”

Arden Hills is a nationally recognized community located just minutes from the centers of Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Arden Hills features seven lakes, 14 city parks, Tony Schmidt Regional Park, and more than 22 miles of multi-use trails. The city has a strong business base anchored by leading employers, companies, and educational institutions including Land O’Lakes, Boston Scientific, Bethel University, and the University of Northwestern St. Paul.

“The City of Arden Hills is excited to join Twin Cities Gateway to help showcase the different amenities our City has to offer,” said Arden Hills’ Mayor, David Grant. “We believe this partnership will help drive short- and long-term economic growth in the City and surrounding region.”

The City of Arden Hills encompasses 9.6 square miles with a population of nearly 10,000 residents, 3,200 households and more than 11,000 employees. In adding the City of Arden Hills as a member city, the visitors bureau will be collecting lodging tax revenue from the city’s two hotels, Springhill Suites Arden Hills, and Quality Inn & Suites Arden Hills.

The mission of Twin Cities Gateway is to market and promote the destination area to generate increased visitation and tourism-related economic impacts for its member cities in the north metro area of Minneapolis-Saint Paul. The nonprofit organization is funded by the local option lodging tax collected by 25 lodging properties throughout its ten member cities.
